Frequently Asked Questions

  • I specialize in working with individuals, couples, relationships, and families. I work with survivors of relational trauma, such as childhood abuse, emotional abuse, physical and emotional neglect, physical violence, and sexual abuse.

With the relationships I work with, often one or more partners has experienced past relational trauma. I’m passionate about working with members of LGBTQ+ communities, Sensitive people, Kinky folks, and non-monogamous and polyamorous folks. My clients are brave cycle breakers, often working to heal generations of suffering.

  • Healing and positive change happen in the context of safe relationships. It’s something I know in my gut to be true—Intuitively and from a scientific perspective. It’s hard to say what any individual person or relationship will gain from therapy, as we all have unique needs, experiences, and realities. I believe when you determine it’s the right time to go to therapy and find the right therapist for you, magic happens.

  • Yes, I do offer virtual therapy. I use a HIPAA-compliant platform that is easy to use and secure. If a video call therapy session isn’t accessible to you, I also provide audio phone call sessions. Some of my clients prefer that method. The fee and length of time are the same for phone call sessions and video sessions.

  • Currently, I’m only offering virtual therapy sessions to clients in Texas. You can show up from the comfort of your own space. You can access our video sessions through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • I do not prescribe medication. However, if you believe you may need medication, I can provide you with referrals to appropriate prescribers and/or collaborate with any current prescribers in your care team.

  • It’s hard to answer this question because there isn’t a one size fits all approach when it comes to client needs in therapy. Some people benefit from years of therapy, and many people get a lot from a few months in therapy. I will collaborate with you to make sure that you’re getting your needs met throughout our time working together.

  • IWell, take this moment to tune into your own experience. What’s it like to scroll through my website? Do my words resonate with you? How do you feel about potentially working with me? Do you think I might get you? These are some examples of questions you can ask yourself to determine if I’m the right therapist for you. If you’re feeling like we might vibe, reach out and schedule a free consultation.

You can ask me questions about how I work and questions related to your specific needs. I encourage clients to interview potential therapists. Any curiosities or concerns you have about me or how we may work together should be addressed. Your therapy is for you, and you deserve to have your dream therapist as your therapist in real life.

  • I am not paneled with any insurance providers at this time. I can provide you with a monthly statement, called a “superbill,” that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. You will need to check with your provider to determine what out-of-network benefits you have for mental health services.

If you choose to submit claims to your insurance company, you will still be responsible for the session fee at the time of service.

  • If my fee is not accessible, I do provide a limited number of sliding scale spots. Please let me know if you'd like to discuss my sliding scale rates. For low-cost mental health resources in Austin, I recommend checking out this list I curated.

  • I accept credit cards, debit cards, FSA cards, and HSA cards.

  • You can schedule a free 20-minute consultation with me to ensure I’m the right therapist for you.

If we’re not the right match, I’ll offer referrals. If we are, we can schedule our first session during the initial consultation.

  • You can contact me in a variety of ways. It all depends on your preferred method of communication.
